Our client is a successful and established firm in Horsham and across Sussex and they are looking for a Manager for the Accountancy business to join the team

This is a role which will involve looking after a portfolio of clients and dealing with all aspects of their accounts as well as training new entrants and Junior staff in Accounting

  • You will manage a portfolio up to 100 clients
  • Preparing (but mainly reviewing) year-end accounts, management accounts and VAT returns
  • Ensuring company accounts are prepared in accordance with financial reporting and accounting standards
  • Reviewing corporation tax returns
  • Preparing personal tax returns

Base up to £55000 dependent on experience and qualifications

Looking for ACA or ACCA qualified or close to it

 

 

Audit/Senior Audit, Accountancy Practice

Our client is a successful and established Accountancy Practice and they are currently looking for an experienced Auditor to join the team in either Brighton or Hove

This is a full time office based role

As Auditor, you will

  • Plan and oversee the auditing process •
  • Allocate responsibilities to junior and staff auditors •
  • Review team members’ work for accuracy and compliance •
  • Perform effective risk and control assessments •

Base to circa £50000 (all open to negotiation dependent on experience plus benefits and the chance of an immediate hire

Audit Manager, Accountancy, Top 20 Firm, Base to £65000 Central London

 

Our client is one of the leading National Accountancy firms in the Country and they are looking for an Audit Manager to work in their Central London office

They are looking for strong candidates and will consider an assistant manager, looking to transition to the audit manager role.  They will be involved with trainees and an element of nurturing the development of the junior staff .

Overview

Our client is actively looking to identify a very talented individual to be our new Audit Manager to be based from the central London office. This is a key role within a growing and dynamic firm, you will be required to manage audits with turnover up to £50M. This is a key role within a strong team and there is the aspiration this role will develop into a partner of the future.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Management of client portfolio including: Statutory audits; accounts preparation; general advisory, strategic and tax planning; attend client meetings;
  • Managing audits, including specialist audits e.g. FSA registered, solicitors, charities and schools.
  • Completing jobs with minimal supervision, to deadlines and within budget.
  • Marketing, including prospect follow ups, organising events, coordinate property campaign, attend local events, fortnightly marketing meetings with other department reps and feed back monthly partners meeting.
  • Liaison with other service lines as needed i.e. Vat, Tax, etc.
  • Liaise with overseas auditors and advisors.
  • Informally mentor 3 trainees and formally mentor 2 qualified members of staff, holding regular meetings and assisting with objective setting and personal development.
  • Reviewing audit files.

They have advised the perfect candidate will have a strong Audit back ground. They will be heavily involved with the trainees and an element or nurturing the development of the junior staff  which is an important part of this role, reporting directly to 3 of the partners, personality will be an important factor and they are looking for easy going, transparent candidates who also have the strength to stand up to the partners if they feel strong about something important.

You will be in charge of 2x managers and a team of 15, coming from a team management background will be advantageous.

At least 3-4 years public practice experience

All-encompassing hands on role

Responsible for complete service to clients including:

Statutory Accounts Preparation and Audit Work (20% audit)
