Responsible For: Floor Manager & Store Team Members (STM)
Our client is a premium store for a leading mobile phone brand and they are currently looking for a store leader
You are the champion for your store. Overall, you are responsible for ensuring your store exceeds targets and maintains the high standards as be fitting of a Leading Mobile phone reseller.
You will monitor the resources available, track store contribution and work with your Area Manager to maximise the full potential that your members and store can offer.
The Store Leader is responsible for translating the commercial objectives of the business to the STM.
Person Specification
• Responsible for upholding the highest standards of the company at all times. Our client expects all STM members to offer the best experience in store with exemplary customer service skills.
• You are able to train, coach and lead your STM confidently.
• Minimum of 2 years as team leader, or equivalent experience and 3 years of shop floor or customer service experience.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
Managerial
• Translate the weekly targets into weekly objectives for your STM.
• Overall responsibility for store contribution by optimising use of resources - store hours, green zone and marketing.
• Ensure store exceeds the minimum requirements of the 'Premium Reseller’ program which are audited regularly. Specifically store merchandising, mystery shop and STM training via SEED, in store and classroom based courses.
• Responsible for accurate inventory and demo stock.
• Monitor shrinkage / stock loss and correctly record all incidences.
• Ensure 'End of Day’ procedures are followed accurately and that cash takings are banked the following working day.
• Ensure that the Floor Manager is performing all of his/her duties to the very best of ability.
• Managerial and administrative tasks to be performed in quiet store periods (mornings and late afternoons) and be available on shop floor during other times.
Customer Service
• Ensure that all customer complaints and returns are dealt with by the appropriate store member.
• Responsible for all 'Level 2’ customer escalations.
• Ensure a good understanding of when customer complaints are to be escalated to 'Level 3’.
Security
• To be a store key holder and understand the criteria involved.
Sales
• Responsible for all HR duties specifically; return to work interviews, 6 month probationary reviews, one to one reviews, disciplinary hearings, exit interviews, conducting of STM recruitment interviews, STM departure procedure, STM training and development.

Our client provides a first class insurance service to military personnel and their families. Since 2000 they have produced an excellent range of products and their administration and advisory teams have over 30 years’ experience of working within the armed forces insurance market. Over 50 thousand military personnel have already used them.
The product set includes personal accident insurance, home insurance, kit insurance, life insurance and travel insurance. Although most products can be bought on-line our client believes in face to face advice and has built a top quality area management team providing advice by seminar and personal consultation. They have built strong relationships with base commanders and decision makers giving excellent access to personnel in need of their service.
The area management team are positioned around the country and are linked directly to primary UK military installations from Lympstone in Devon to Kinross in Scotland with an administrative head office in West Sussex.
The ongoing success of the business now calls for a National Sales Manager to drive forward future sales revenue. This is a new position and key to plans for future business growth. Candidates will have a proven track record in sales management gained either in general insurance or regulated sales. You will be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, be a strong team leader and motivator and be commercially astute.
Given the focus on military clients it is preferable that you also have forces experience.
It’s envisaged that the successful candidate will spend much of their time with clients and with the area management team and therefore working from home with c1 day per week at the West Sussex head office.
The package is exceptional with a basic salary ranging from £50k to £65k depending on experience and current compensation. Performance bonuses also apply. The package will also include a car or car allowance, pension scheme and private medical.
